It is the objective of Glanmorfa Supported Living to provide quality care to each of it's service users to a standard of excellence which embraces fundamental principles of excellent care practise, and that this may be witnessed and evaluated through the practises, conduct and control of the quality of care we provide. It is a fundamental ethos that these Clients who live in their Home should be able to do so in accordance with our philosophy of care.
It is the object of the company that all service users shall be treated with respect, dignity and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities. Staff will be responsive to the individual needs of the Clients and will provide the appropriate degree of care to assure the highest possible quality of life within their Home.
Glanmorfa Supported Living will provide a service to the following user groups:
- Dementia,
- Young Physically Disabled,
- Mild to Moderate Learning Disabilities,
- Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury,
- Sensory Loss Impairment,
- Age Range 18 years and older.
The type of service we will provide will cater for the provision of the following aspects of care:
- Personal Care,
- Promote Health & Wellbeing,
- Maintain Nutrition,
- Maintain Dignity and Privacy,
- Promote Independence,
- Preparation of Meals and Snacks,
- Care at night,
- Domestic and Home Help Services.
To meet the Clients’ needs the care service is designed to achieve the following objectives:
- To deliver a service of the highest quality that will improve and sustain the Clients’ overall quality of life;
- To ensure that the care service is delivered flexibly, attentively, and in a non discriminatory fashion whilst respecting the individual’s right to independence, privacy, dignity, and the right to make informed choices and to take risks;
- To ensure that care service in whole is delivered in accordance with the agreed contracts of care;
- To manage and implement a formal programme of staff planning, selection, recruitment, training, and personal development to enable the individual's care needs to be met;
- To manage the care service efficiently and effectively to make the best use of resources and to maximise value for money for the individual;
- To ensure all service users receive written information on the company’s procedure for handling complaints, comments and compliments and how to use it;
- Demonstrate to each service user that we can meet their assessed needs;
- Continually offer a wide range of social and leisure activities, suitably designed for each individual’s abilities, i.e. traumatic/acquired brain injury, dementia, physical disability or learning disability;
- Avoid strict routines and maintain maximum flexibility in their daily life in their Home;
- Staff to have specific training to be able to understand and meet the needs of the service users.
